Web-Based Physician Ratings for California Physicians on Probation
Though it can be difficult to equate physician competence with outcomes, doctors who violate codes of conduct and fail to meet the standard of care are placed on probation by their state medical board after a review of the evidence. It is unknown how patients perceive and rate physicians on probation as it has never been used as a quality metric.
