Wireless wearable biosensors have also shown potential in detecting CRP and inflammatory cytokines in sweat [20,21]. For chronic inflammatory diseases with organ-specific manifestations such as asthma and inflammatory bowel disease, well-established biomarkers such as fractional exhaled nitric oxide (Fe NO) and fecal calprotectin are available [22,23], but their relevance in assessing inflammation in other inflammatory diseases has yet to be thoroughly investigated.
