Students’ Perceptions of Learning Analytics for Mental Health Support: Qualitative Study

Students’ Perceptions of Learning Analytics for Mental Health Support: Qualitative Study

Changes in learning behavior may indicate changes in student mental health, although the current evidence remains scarce [14-16]. Few qualitative studies have explored students’ perceptions of learning analytics to support learning [17-25]. There is also a lack of research across different academic disciplines and education levels [17,19,20].

Acceptability and Usability of a Socially Assistive Robot Integrated With a Large Language Model for Enhanced Human-Robot Interaction in a Geriatric Care Institution: Mixed Methods Evaluation

Speech recognition systems should be optimized to account for prosodic variation, regional accents, and articulation differences (eg, slower speech rate, reduced vocal intensity, hesitations, or imprecise consonant production) commonly observed among OAs due to age-related changes in respiratory and orofacial motor control [64].

Development and Validation of a Brain Aging Biomarker in Middle-Aged and Older Adults: Deep Learning Approach

Development and Validation of a Brain Aging Biomarker in Middle-Aged and Older Adults: Deep Learning Approach

We conducted a longitudinal analysis to investigate changes in brain age gap across follow-up scans of the same participants and assess the risk of brain age gap for cognitive decline. We used BVGN, SFCN, and Res Net models to estimate brain age gap across the total 2392 scans and depicted how the estimated brain age gap changed over follow-up time in different progression groups.

Artificial Intelligence in Health Promotion and Disease Reduction: Rapid Review

Artificial Intelligence in Health Promotion and Disease Reduction: Rapid Review

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) can be widely used in the medical field to improve patient care [19] and can also be effective in encouraging healthy behaviors and lifestyle changes [20]. AI, as a branch of computer science, simulates human cognition to perform tasks such as reasoning, learning, and decision-making [21,22].

Insights From a Mixed Methods Analysis of 3 Health Technologies Used in Patients With Parkinson Disease: Mixed Methods Study

Insights From a Mixed Methods Analysis of 3 Health Technologies Used in Patients With Parkinson Disease: Mixed Methods Study

A key limitation of this study is the relatively small sample size, which constrains statistical power and generalizability. Future research should aim to increase the sample of participants using these technologies. However, the cohort examined here provides a reasonable representation of a PD population with national diversity. Another limitation is the exclusion of individuals with PD who had significant comorbidities preventing them from using the studied technologies.

Mixed Reality–Based Physical Therapy in Older Adults With Sarcopenia: Preliminary Randomized Controlled Trial

Mixed Reality–Based Physical Therapy in Older Adults With Sarcopenia: Preliminary Randomized Controlled Trial

Participants received a small nonmonetary gift (health supplement worth approximately 30,000 KRW [US $23]) as compensation for their time. No personally identifiable images or data were included in the manuscript or supplementary materials. All ultrasound and evaluation images were anonymized. Although the clinical trial registration (KCT0010241) was finalized after study completion due to administrative delays, the study was retrospectively registered to ensure transparency.

Effectiveness of a Web-Based Virtual Simulation to Train Nursing Students in Suicide Risk Assessment: Randomized Controlled Investigation

Effectiveness of a Web-Based Virtual Simulation to Train Nursing Students in Suicide Risk Assessment: Randomized Controlled Investigation

However, this aspect requires further investigation to assess its possible benefits due to the small number of randomized controlled investigations [2]. Nurses are ideally positioned to intervene and implement preventative measures toward suicide. However, several obstacles in suicide risk evaluation and care by nurses have been identified. First, negative attitudes and a stigma toward patients experiencing suicide crises are high among nurses, although less frequent than among doctors [3].

Effects of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Studio Ghibli Films on Young People’s Sense of Exploration, Calm, Mastery and Skill, Purpose and Meaning, and Overall Happiness in Life: Exploratory Randomized Controlled Study

Effects of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Studio Ghibli Films on Young People’s Sense of Exploration, Calm, Mastery and Skill, Purpose and Meaning, and Overall Happiness in Life: Exploratory Randomized Controlled Study

Films such as My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service often focus on the small, everyday wonders of life, such as playing in the countryside or sharing mealtime with family. By shining a spotlight on ordinary moments and turning them into something magical, Miyazaki’s works tap into a universal longing for the innocence and wonder of childhood. This kind of warmth can evoke nostalgia for times when people felt safe and cared for.

Reddit as a Social Media Self-Management Tool for Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Qualitative Analysis

Reddit as a Social Media Self-Management Tool for Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Qualitative Analysis

Effective self-management helps patients and their clinicians recognize early changes in symptoms and optimize medical therapy to improve health outcomes and reduce health care overuse. Systematic review data suggest that effective self-management in IBD supports IBD-specific knowledge, enhances social participation, improves health-related quality of life, and reduces health care usage [4,5].
