Is Blockchain Technology Suitable for Managing Personal Health Records? Mixed-Methods Study to Test Feasibility

The blockchain network was an Ethereum version 1.8.4–based private network [26], and 301 nodes were created from one local node via the Linux screen. We connected the additional 300 nodes to one main node representing a hospital. To investigate the effectiveness of blockchain-based PHR management, we analyzed the time taken for data transactions on the blockchain nodes and the time taken for the spread of the clinical data over the network.
