Finding the Patient’s Voice Using Big Data: Analysis of Users’ Health-Related Concerns in the ChaCha Question-and-Answer Service (2009–2012)

Number of queries posted to Cha Cha by user location within the United States, 2009-2012. All incoming queries were initially filtered a by proprietary Cha Cha algorithm that identifies keywords to sort 75.45% (1,459,279,135/1,934,159,453) of queries into 12 broad categories (Table 2) that are further divided into 129 subcategories.
