Web-Based Intervention Using Self-Compassionate Writing to Induce Positive Mood in Family Caregivers of Older Adults: Quantitative Study

On the basis of the review of the literature, we hypothesized the 6 effects of brief writing interventions for our family caregiver samples. Our first set of hypotheses concerned the efficacy of brief writing on self-compassion: Hypothesis 1: Writing with mindfulness would increase self-compassion. Hypothesis 2: Writing with self-kindness would increase self-compassion. Hypothesis 3: Writing with common humanity would increase self-compassion.

Beyond the Hype—The Actual Role and Risks of AI in Today’s Medical Practice: Comparative-Approach Study

Writing an academic paper, though? That is still a world where the human touch shines. From combing through mountains of literature to connecting the dots in innovative ways, it is a craft that demands the very best of us, but here is a thought: given how far AI has come, could it, one day, pen down an academic masterpiece on its own? This paper is all about that tantalizing question.

A Platform (Authorships.org) for the Objective Qualification and Order of Academic Authorship in Medical and Science Journals: Development and Evaluation Study Using the Design Science Research Methodology

Individual tasks included study design and methodology, screening of titles and abstracts of studies identified in the literature search, data extraction and analysis of selected works, manuscript writing, and critical review. Authorships.org was applied after drafting the manuscript and before submission to a peer-reviewed scientific journal. The objective author qualification and order were applied directly in the manuscript as suggested by the software output and accepted by all authors.

A Tablet App for Handwriting Skill Screening at the Preliteracy Stage: Instrument Validation Study

However, such a technology must be validated for the study of handwriting, since the tablet surface can affect writing performance. Difficulties in changing the writing support are particularly evident in children [24], and we must assure that a change in the writing support does not alter the handwriting laws that hold for the pen-and-paper standard approach.

Online Positive Affect Journaling in the Improvement of Mental Distress and Well-Being in General Medical Patients With Elevated Anxiety Symptoms: A Preliminary Randomized Controlled Trial

PAJ is a modified version of the traditional expressive writing paradigm [22,23] wherein the participants write about a traumatic experience for approximately 15- to 20-min intervals, often across a period of 3 to 5 days. Reviews of expressive writing suggested that it was modestly effective in improving a number of physical and mental health outcomes [24,25] although large heterogeneities in efficacy have been documented.
