Questions covered “problems and barriers,” “facilitating factors,” “reasons for attrition,” and “important properties” that m Health apps should meet. This paper focuses especially on problems and barriers identified in the underlying conversations.
The decision for a qualitative research design was made to take an exploratory step into the still poorly researched field of problems and barriers in the context of m Health apps.

Ahmad et al [15] planned a scoping review to capture current problems and opportunities in the adoption of mobile apps among older adults. Contrary to this scoping review, our review does not exclude younger users.
The only review focusing specifically on Di GA is part of the German Advisory Council on the Assessment of Developments in the Health Care System report [16]. It focusses on evidence but not on barriers or problems in the context of Di GA.
