Multimodal Web-Based Telerehabilitation for Patients With Post–COVID-19 Condition: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Multimodal Web-Based Telerehabilitation for Patients With Post–COVID-19 Condition: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Thus, our multimodal telerehabilitation program—which combines objective diagnostics, personalized symptom-titrated exercise therapy, and teleconsultations—represents a promising alternative to standard rehabilitation or a valuable adjunct to outpatient physiotherapy and self-directed therapy.

Patients’ Expectations for App-Based Therapy in Knee Osteoarthritis: User-Centered Design Approach

Patients’ Expectations for App-Based Therapy in Knee Osteoarthritis: User-Centered Design Approach

However, barriers such as misinformation, low self-efficacy, limited physiotherapy access, and restrictive care pathways hinder their effectiveness [10-16]. In Slovenia, the shortage of physiotherapists (50‐70 per 100,000 inhabitants) leads to prolonged waiting times, a challenge also reported in Eastern and Southern Europe, as well as in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, where delayed access to physiotherapy negatively impacts treatment outcomes [17,18].

Requirements and Value Elicitation for a High-Fidelity Pelvic Floor Simulator for Physiotherapists: Mixed Methods Study

Requirements and Value Elicitation for a High-Fidelity Pelvic Floor Simulator for Physiotherapists: Mixed Methods Study

This need is even more pronounced considering that veterinary students practice palpation and even the assessment of pain symptoms in the pelvic region of cows and horses using simulators enhanced with haptic feedback [25,26] whereas pelvic physiotherapy training for humans with female-at-birth anatomy continues to rely on peer examination.

Compared to conventional physiotherapy, DHAs may also improve accessibility, especially for individuals with limited mobility or scheduling constraints [23,24], and enable more flexible and frequent engagement with exercise programs.

The Effectiveness of Telerehabilitation in Managing Pain, Strength, and Balance in Adult Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis: Systematic Review

The Effectiveness of Telerehabilitation in Managing Pain, Strength, and Balance in Adult Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis: Systematic Review

Unlike previous reviews, this study applies dual risk-of-bias assessments using both the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale and the Downs and Black checklist, ensuring a more robust evaluation of study quality.

Older Adults’ Perspectives on Participating in a Synchronous Online Exercise Program: Qualitative Study

Older Adults’ Perspectives on Participating in a Synchronous Online Exercise Program: Qualitative Study

Yeah, and I’m not doing massages and not doing physiotherapy, so you know that’s kind of hindered things too. I got out first thing in the morning; it was a part of a routine during the pandemic. I lost all of that; consequently, I put on weight… when the pandemic hit, I literally turned into a couch potato. I was really surprised at how de-conditioned I became over the course of the pandemic; I mean, it wasn’t great before, but it became a lot worse during the pandemic.

Home-Based Nonimmersive Virtual Reality Training After Discharge From Inpatient or Outpatient Stroke Rehabilitation: Parallel Feasibility Randomized Controlled Trial

Home-Based Nonimmersive Virtual Reality Training After Discharge From Inpatient or Outpatient Stroke Rehabilitation: Parallel Feasibility Randomized Controlled Trial

On the other hand, 2 participants found that NIVRT was more difficult to do than physiotherapy since there was no accountability. Several participants commented that NIVRT was a useful tool to improve recovery, but should be combined with walking, physiotherapy, and specific hand exercises (NIVRT does not focus on the hand). A total of 2 participants found that 5 times a week was excessive. When asked, 6 participants (out of 11) or their study partners were interested in continuing NIVRT.

Smartphone-Based Care Platform Versus Traditional Care in Primary Knee Arthroplasty in the Unites States: Cost Analysis

Smartphone-Based Care Platform Versus Traditional Care in Primary Knee Arthroplasty in the Unites States: Cost Analysis

In-person outpatient physiotherapy (PT) has been the standard of care (So C) postoperatively but is associated with significant cost and may be overused following uncomplicated knee arthroplasty [4]. Telerehabilitation and mobile health delivery of PT has gained popularity in recent years [5]. The aim of this study was to compare costs of a smartphone-based care management platform (sb CMP) with traditional care in adult patients undergoing knee arthroplasty.
