These criteria include (1) intellectual challenge and complexity, (2) work-life balance, (3) procedural involvement, (4) research and academic opportunities, (5) patient relationships and continuity of care, (6) career opportunity and demand, and (7) financial compensation. These factors were chosen based on their relevance and applicability to fellowship selection in the real world.

Both types of notifications prompting short walks within the next 3 hours were experimentally provided or not across variations of need (ie, whether daily step goals were previously met), opportunity (ie, the next 3 h are a time window when a person has an opportunity to walk based on their previous step data), and receptivity (ie, the person received

The capability, opportunity, and motivation model of behavior change (COM-B) model is a new questionnaire that is shorter and easier for patients to complete [11]. It involves 3 key components: capability, opportunity, and motivation [12]. This theoretical approach has not been used extensively for people with asthma. However, COM-B is meant to be comprehensive, concise, and applicable to all behaviors.

The updated figure illustrates how the BCTTv1 and PSDM relate and link to behavioral outcomes through their related models: the Capability, Opportunity, and Motivation–Behavior (COM-B) model and the Fogg Behavior Model (FBM), respectively. Each model is made up of behavior components linked to BCTs and PSD elements that represent the behavioral determinants and design principle categories in the taxonomies.

The capability, opportunity, and motivation—behavior (COM-B) system is a model of behavior change that helps to understand the influences on performance of a behavior [29]. A related model is the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF), which can be mapped onto COM-B to further categorize influences into the facilitators that increase, and the barriers that hinder, the behavior [30].

The Opportunity domain in COM-B refers to external factors that influence the targeted behavior. Again, in the context of pregnant women and PFMT, opportunity may consist of (1) physical opportunity (availability of environmental, nonliving elements that support PFMT, such as a private location to learn and perform PFMT) and (2) social opportunity (related to the opportunities afforded by people around the pregnant women, eg, cultural and social norms related to PFMT).

Our exploration of barriers to and facilitators of behavior change in line with co-production was underpinned by a theoretical model of intentional behavior: the Capability, Opportunity, and Motivation Behavior (COM-B) model [39,40].
