Transdiagnostic Compulsivity Traits in Problematic Use of the Internet Among UK Residents: Cross-Sectional Network Analysis Study

Transdiagnostic Compulsivity Traits in Problematic Use of the Internet Among UK Residents: Cross-Sectional Network Analysis Study

A network approach may be particularly useful to address the aforementioned issues and provide a more precise understanding of the relations between different dimensions of compulsivity and symptoms of PUI. The network approach to psychopathology posits that mental conditions can be conceptualized as a complex network, constituted by a set of nodes (eg, item-level characteristics and symptoms) and edges that connect them [25,26].

Improving Risk Prediction of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Using Machine Learning Methods With Network Features: Retrospective Development Study

Improving Risk Prediction of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Using Machine Learning Methods With Network Features: Retrospective Development Study

The topmost feature (“MRSA 14”) is a network-based feature. Moreover, the network-based features are among the top 10 features. Among these features, “MRSA 7” and “MRSA 14” are positively associated with MRSA infection. In addition to the network features, the interval between the 2 MRSA tests is also important. In addition, patient comorbidity conditions have a significant correlation with MRSA infection.

The Significance of Alliance Networks in Research and Development of Digital Health Products for Diabetes: Observational Study

The Significance of Alliance Networks in Research and Development of Digital Health Products for Diabetes: Observational Study

Therefore, companies located at the center of an alliance network can disseminate information and knowledge, and act as a gateway for information exchange, making a bigger impact as compared with other firms in the network. Some studies have also linked firm performance to network centrality, noting that the formation of new networks facilitates collective knowledge sharing and exploratory learning in new technological domains [9,11].

Characterization of Global Research Trends and Prospects on Single-Cell Sequencing Technology: Bibliometric Analysis

Characterization of Global Research Trends and Prospects on Single-Cell Sequencing Technology: Bibliometric Analysis

(A) The network map of countries (TOP30). (B) Dynamics and trends of countries/regions over years (TOP30). A total of 1970 universities or institutions made contributions to single-cell sequencing technology; extensive cooperation network analysis was carried out among universities or institutions.

Discovery of Depression-Associated Factors From a Nationwide Population-Based Survey: Epidemiological Study Using Machine Learning and Network Analysis

Discovery of Depression-Associated Factors From a Nationwide Population-Based Survey: Epidemiological Study Using Machine Learning and Network Analysis

Based on the correlation matrix, a thresholded EBICglasso (extended Bayesian information criterium graphical lasso) network was plotted, in which the network model was estimated using graphical LASSO regularization with EBIC model selection. Each edge weight was the correlation coefficient between two nodes after controlling all other network correlations [20,21]. Three centrality indices (strength, closeness, and betweenness) were computed.

A Digital Mobile Community App for Caregivers in Singapore: Predevelopment and Usability Study

A Digital Mobile Community App for Caregivers in Singapore: Predevelopment and Usability Study

Considering the issues faced by the caregivers and the increase in technology, we developed a community network mobile app for caregivers in Singapore with the aim of providing a space for caregivers to discuss problems, support each other, develop friendships with like-minded individuals, and ask questions to peers facing similar hardships.

Identifying the Medical Lethality of Suicide Attempts Using Network Analysis and Deep Learning: Nationwide Study

Identifying the Medical Lethality of Suicide Attempts Using Network Analysis and Deep Learning: Nationwide Study

A network model can be employed to conceptualize the complex dynamic systems comprising each interacting symptom [11-13]. Owing to this advantage of network analysis, previous studies have explored the nested interactions among the features of psychopathology [14] or the symptoms of major depressive disorder [15].

Causal Factors of Anxiety and Depression in College Students: Longitudinal Ecological Momentary Assessment and Causal Analysis Using Peter and Clark Momentary Conditional Independence

Causal Factors of Anxiety and Depression in College Students: Longitudinal Ecological Momentary Assessment and Causal Analysis Using Peter and Clark Momentary Conditional Independence

New methodological developments in causal network reconstruction permits the estimation of causal networks from time series data. Implementing these methods might allow for the estimation of the causal network relating stress, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression among college students. If increased stress and low self-esteem are causal markers that precede anxiety and depression, then these methods might be useful for earlier identification or preventative intervention for people at risk.
