This study identified 11,996 specimens as KP, which were further subjected to antibiotic sensitivity testing (AST) for levofloxacin (LEV) and ciprofloxacin (CIP) using the VITEK 2 system (bio Mérieux). This system is claimed to be precise in such assessments. The analysis of the AST results strictly adhered to the clinical breakpoints defined by the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, ensuring that the study aligned with the established microbiological norms [14,15].
