Promoting Digital Health Data Literacy: The Datum Project
Recent legislation in the Canadian province of Quebec (eg, Law 25) recognizes the need for enhanced privacy and confidentiality policies, a clearly informed consent process for research participants, and governance frameworks outlining these policies [10].
This rapidly evolving issue calls for enhanced literacy around digital health data, empowering patients, caregivers, and providers to engage with data policies, ask questions, and increase their understanding of their privacy rights.

South Africa is one of the most progressive African nations when it comes to legislation protecting the human rights of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and allied (LGBTQIA+) [1]. Despite institutionalized rights, evidence suggests that the LGBTQIA+ community continues to encounter stigma, discrimination, and threats to their personal well-being [2-4].

In this study, we build upon the existing literature and analyze tweets to better characterize (1) Twitter users’ engagement and sentiment surrounding federal abortion legislation as it relates to abortion, health care, and privacy of health information over time and (2) the Dobbs decisions’ impact on the cultural connotations of expressions of trust in clinicians and the privacy of health information.
