Supporting informal carers helps not only the carer but also the person with dementia by improving their quality of life and care, thus enabling them to remain at home for longer [1]. Informal carers are people who offer care and support to a person with dementia on a familial or friendship basis. An umbrella review of psychosocial interventions for informal carers of persons with dementia in 2017 identified 13 studies [1].
