Demographics and Use of an Addiction Helpline for Concerned Significant Others: Observational Study

Demographics and Use of an Addiction Helpline for Concerned Significant Others: Observational Study

Distinguishing helpline outcomes from hotline outcomes is difficult, as much of the research fails to distinguish between the two [36]. In general, however, helpline/hotline use is associated with decreased psychological distress, improvement in well-being, increased effectiveness at addressing problems, and high levels of service satisfaction [34-39].

Rapport Building in Written Crisis Services: Qualitative Content Analysis

This work provides an important foundation for how to build therapeutic relationships in written mental health and hotline services. The data for this study are from the PACTECH (Prevent Abuse of Children Text and Chat Hotline), the text and chat arm of the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline [49]. Since 1982, Childhelp has offered 24/7 phone-based hotline services focused on support and resources related to child maltreatment. In 2018, the hotline expanded to include text and chat capabilities.

Impact of Geriatric Hotlines on Health Care Pathways and Health Status in Patients Aged 75 Years and Older: Protocol for a French Multicenter Observational Study

This hotline service was a recent creation (2013) and is still in an experimental form and not yet widespread. Its use still varies widely across the country, and we have yet to gauge its real value. The primary objective of this study is to describe the health care pathways and status of patients aged 75 years and older hospitalized in short-stay geriatric care and referred via the hotline. The study population will be from different geriatric care hotlines from around France.
