The Impacts of Computer-Aided Detection of Colorectal Polyps on Subsequent Colonoscopy Surveillance Intervals: Simulation Study

Patient’s baseline demographic and endoscopic findings including the number, size, and final pathology of each detected polyp were retrieved. All resected polyps were histologically reported according to the World Health Organization criteria as standard hospital practices. Advanced adenomas were defined as adenomas ≥10 mm in diameter, with villous histology in at least 25% of the adenoma, or high-grade dysplasia or carcinoma.
