Efficacy of Digital Dance on Brain Imagery, Cognition, and Health: Randomized Controlled Trial
The Demoralization Scale-Mandarin Version that was used to measure demoralization comprises 24 items, each rated on a 5-point Likert scale, ranging from 0 (never) to 4 (all the time) [28,29]; a cut-off score of ≥30 is considered to affirm demoralization [28]. The German version sets cut-offs of 30 to indicate moderate demoralization and 36 to signify a high level of demoralization in patients with advanced cancer [30].

Demoralization and Mi L concepts are theoretically and clinically connected, because meaninglessness is one of the five components of the definition of demoralization. Precisely, this link could be the key to utilize demoralization and Mi L in supportive and psychotherapeutic interventions, that is, exploring with the patients the subconstructs of demoralization and the sense that the patient attributes to them, in order to restructure and reinforce an Mi L that allows them to mitigate their suffering.
