Effects of a Digital Mental Health Intervention on Perceived Stress and Rumination in Adolescents Aged 13 to 17 Years: Randomized Controlled Trial

We also examined changes in brooding (the maladaptive component of rumination) as a secondary outcome and in sleep disturbance, loneliness, and optimism as exploratory outcomes. This was a 12-week, 2-arm RCT of adolescents aged 13 to 17 years residing in the United States with elevated levels of perceived stress and brooding (Multimedia Appendix 1). A study protocol was previously published [51], and the trial was registered with Clinical Trials.gov (NCT04567888).
