Against this background, the overall aim of this study was to contribute to a deeper understanding of gender-related HISB. Therefore, we designed a study with 2 purposes. First, we go beyond existing studies focusing on the frequency of women’s and men’s web-based HISB [1,20] and aim for a theory-driven analysis of web-based HISB regarding gender-related issues.
