Digital Cognitive Behavioral Therapy–Based Treatment for Insomnia, Nightmares, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms in Survivors of Wildfires: Pilot Randomized Feasibility Trial

Digital Cognitive Behavioral Therapy–Based Treatment for Insomnia, Nightmares, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms in Survivors of Wildfires: Pilot Randomized Feasibility Trial

Participants were sequentially allocated via simple randomization in the order of their enrollment (using a computer-generated simple randomization sequence), and they were informed about the purpose, allocation, and structure of the study as explained in the PLIS. However, they were not informed about the study’s hypotheses.

Advancing Clinical Chatbot Validation Using AI-Powered Evaluation With a New 3-Bot Evaluation System: Instrument Validation Study

Advancing Clinical Chatbot Validation Using AI-Powered Evaluation With a New 3-Bot Evaluation System: Instrument Validation Study

It is also highly scalable, as the basic requirements to perform the 3-bot evaluations are a computer system and access to an LLM. Performing more iterations of an evaluation only requires a marginal amount of researcher effort, and performing multiple, different evaluations can be accomplished simultaneously, given the computer system has enough processing power. This study introduces a novel AI-powered health care chatbot validation system featuring 3 types of AI bots—provider, patient, and evaluator.

Examining the Implementation of the Italian Version of the Teen Online Problem-Solving Program Coupled With Remote Psychological Support: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Participants will complete the intervention in an everyday setting, generally at home using a computer, as the program is not compatible with tablets and mobile phones. Every 2 weeks, a psychologist located in the rehabilitation center (ie, Scientific Institute IRCCS E.

Identifying the Active Ingredients of a Computerized Speech and Language Therapy Intervention for Poststroke Aphasia: Multiple Methods Investigation Alongside a Randomized Controlled Trial

Identifying the Active Ingredients of a Computerized Speech and Language Therapy Intervention for Poststroke Aphasia: Multiple Methods Investigation Alongside a Randomized Controlled Trial

Participants were excluded if they required treatment in a language other than English, were already using computer therapy to address their word-finding impairment, or had another premorbid speech and language disorder caused by a neurological deficit other than stroke. Participants were randomized to 1 of 3 groups: computer aphasia therapy plus usual care (CSLT), attention or activity control (puzzle books and regular phone calls) plus usual care, or usual care alone.

Interactive Conversational Agents for Health Promotion, Prevention, and Care: Protocol for a Mixed Methods Systematic Scoping Review

Interactive Conversational Agents for Health Promotion, Prevention, and Care: Protocol for a Mixed Methods Systematic Scoping Review

Conversational agents, also known as “chatbots,” are computer programs that use natural language processing to engage in conversations with humans to provide or collect information [4-6]. Chatbots use algorithms to simulate a human conversation via text or voice messages. They are easy to use for patients and require minimal computer literacy and knowledge [7,8].

Increased Online Aggression During COVID-19 Lockdowns: Two-Stage Study of Deep Text Mining and Difference-in-Differences Analysis

Increased Online Aggression During COVID-19 Lockdowns: Two-Stage Study of Deep Text Mining and Difference-in-Differences Analysis

We hope this method can support traditional psychology surveys by utilizing computer technology to provide a more efficient way of understanding crowd emotions. By using statewide lockdown status to analyze tweets, we can capture the peaks and valleys of aggression levels throughout a prolonged time period. We can also identify the difference in aggression levels between groups with different lockdown statuses. There were a few particularly noticeable peaks in aggression levels in the observed timeframe.

Computerized Psychological Interventions in Veterans and Service Members: Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials

Computerized Psychological Interventions in Veterans and Service Members: Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials

Various meta-analyses have outlined the therapeutic benefit of specific computer-delivered treatment modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) [4,11], acceptance and commitment therapy [12], and mindfulness-based therapy [13].

A Computer-Based Interactive Narrative and a Serious Game for Children With Asthma: Development and Content Validity Analysis

A Computer-Based Interactive Narrative and a Serious Game for Children With Asthma: Development and Content Validity Analysis

The proposed sequences of using this computer-based asthma educational intervention were that learners would engage with the interactive narrative and then play a serious game. The design of the interactive narrative applied the NEMD theory and transformed the information we sought to convey into storylines with learning objectives. It was visualized using Articulate Storyline, version 2.0 (Articulate Global).

A Human-Algorithm Integration System for Hip Fracture Detection on Plain Radiography: System Development and Validation Study

A Human-Algorithm Integration System for Hip Fracture Detection on Plain Radiography: System Development and Validation Study

Numerous applications of DL in medicine, such as computer-aided diagnosis, have been studied [3-9]. Several studies have shown the possibility of using algorithms trained with a large amount of data to aid in appropriate triage, accurately predicting outcomes, improving diagnoses and referrals in clinical situations, and even shortening the waiting time for reports [10-15].
