Artificial Intelligence for Rapid Meta-Analysis: Case Study on Ocular Toxicity of Hydroxychloroquine

For this RMA, we leveraged the Evid Science clinical outcomes database [8] for searching and screening (although any suitable AI system could provide a similar benefit). This database was built using the Evid Science AI, which is capable of turning written text of results into a “structured” representation (eg, a row in a database or spreadsheet). Figure 2 shows a sentence from an article about toxicity detected for a set of patients, which has been parsed by the Evid Science AI.
