Usability and Feasibility of a Smartphone App to Assess Human Behavioral Factors Associated with Tick Exposure (The Tick App): Quantitative and Qualitative Study

In the United States, the number of adults who own a smartphone has been steadily increasing over time for every age group within the adult population. It is estimated that 81% of the adult population owns a smartphone compared with 15% of the population owning a normal mobile phone [1]. The ubiquity of smartphones provides a unique opportunity to gather and share information about health and disease, given the capabilities such as location sensing and software apps.
