Similarly, Lin et al [13] evaluated the performance of several machine learning algorithms for waiting time prediction and selected the best-performing model for prediction in a pediatric ophthalmology outpatient clinic. Chocron et al [14] compared machine learning algorithms with classical QT models for waiting time prediction and found that machine learning models produced better predictions than traditional methods in complex real-world scenarios.
