This yields 3 distinct scores: CPVI-importance, CPVI-success, and CPVI-discrepancy (CPVI-D). Veterans were asked to rank the 6 value domains of work, health, family, friends, growth or learning, and intimate relations in order of importance to them. Importance was ranked on a 0 to 5 scale (from not at all important to extremely important). Following this, veterans rated how successful they felt in living their life in accordance with these values.
