A Smartphone App to Assist Smoking Cessation Among Aboriginal Australians: Findings From a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

This assumes a 15% loss to follow-up, 2-sided alpha=.05 and 80% probability of detecting a significant difference with P values less than .05 judged as significant. This study was planned as a pilot RCT in which we aimed to recruit 200 participants to assess feasibility, resource considerations, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness data to inform a future adequately powered trial.
