Exercise-Induced Tendon and Bone Injury in Recreational Runners: A Test-Retest Reliability Study

Exercise-Induced Tendon and Bone Injury in Recreational Runners: A Test-Retest Reliability Study

To achieve a large sample size, the study must provide a reliable and convenient method of data collection from prospective participants, allowing them to participate in the research from home and with their own device. We therefore developed an Internet activity survey to prospectively recruit participants relevant to our test groups. Retrospective surveys of sporting injuries have been shown to have some limitations for injury epidemiology research because of issues with injury recall [11,12].
