Kristiansen et al [24] found significant differences in the impact of PAEHR on patient-provider relationships and documentation practices between health care professionals in mental and somatic health care. Health care professionals in mental health settings reported to dedicate more time to documenting and explaining EHR content, as well as comforting patients during consultations after the introduction of PAEHR, compared with those in somatic health care [24].
