As smoking, alcohol consumption, and psychoactive substance use are addictive in nature, and previous research by Guo et al [16] showed a positive relationship between smoking and psychoactive substance use among YMSM, this study further explored these relationships. In this study, drinking was defined as consuming alcohol at least twice within the past 30 days, while smoking was defined as continuous or cumulative smoking for at least 6 months before the survey and smoking within the past 30 days.
