Several cyclic patterns were also observed, with seasonal variations (HR higher in winter than in summer) and peaks related to Christmas or New Year celebrations (Figure 5).
The average total sleep duration for all countries was 7.5 (SD 1.4) hours. On an average, men slept for 19.5 (SD 0.6) minutes less than women. Active users also slept less than sedentary users (compared with active users: αsomewhat active=4.1, SE 1.2; αlow active=9.3, SE 1.1; αsedentary=SD, SE 1.1).
