Safety and Efficacy of Modular Digital Psychotherapy for Social Anxiety: Randomized Controlled Trial

Safety and Efficacy of Modular Digital Psychotherapy for Social Anxiety: Randomized Controlled Trial

In the long term, SAD can lead to profound social isolation; missed opportunities; and comorbid conditions such as depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and substance abuse [1,3,4]. While symptoms do not typically improve in the absence of treatment [5,6], cognitive behavioral therapy for social anxiety (CBT-SA) has been established as an effective treatment with moderate to large effects on social anxiety symptoms [7-9].

Effectiveness of Virtual Reality–Complemented Pulmonary Rehabilitation on Lung Function, Exercise Capacity, Dyspnea, and Health Status in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Effectiveness of Virtual Reality–Complemented Pulmonary Rehabilitation on Lung Function, Exercise Capacity, Dyspnea, and Health Status in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Specifically, studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up periods are needed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and sustainability of VR-complemented PR. Developing standardized VR protocols that define exercise intensity, frequency, duration, and content would help reduce heterogeneity and improve the comparability of results across studies.

HIV Incidence and Associated Risk Factors Among Young Men Who Have Sex With Men in Tianjin, China: Retrospective Cohort Study

HIV Incidence and Associated Risk Factors Among Young Men Who Have Sex With Men in Tianjin, China: Retrospective Cohort Study

Our study is the first long-term cohort study to assess the incidence of HIV and its associated factors among YMSM in Tianjin. The HIV incidence identified in this study was similar to the incidence among MSM under 24 years old (2.63/100 PYs) in Shanghai, published in 2019 [17]. This study found that the incidence of HIV among YMSM in Tianjin showed a stable trend from 2017 to 2022 and was maintained at an elevated level.

Estimation of Machine Learning–Based Models to Predict Dementia Risk in Patients With Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases: UK Biobank Study

Estimation of Machine Learning–Based Models to Predict Dementia Risk in Patients With Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases: UK Biobank Study

Nevertheless, the long-term risk of dementia progression (5 or 10 years) in patients with ASCVD remains uncertain. In this study, we used comprehensive phenotypic and follow-up data from a cohort of over 500,000 UK Biobank participants to develop an ML-based model capable of predicting the 5- or 10-year risk of incident dementia in specific patients with ASCVD.

Health Care Professionals and Data Scientists’ Perspectives on a Machine Learning System to Anticipate and Manage the Risk of Decompensation From Patients With Heart Failure: Qualitative Interview Study

Health Care Professionals and Data Scientists’ Perspectives on a Machine Learning System to Anticipate and Manage the Risk of Decompensation From Patients With Heart Failure: Qualitative Interview Study

Heart failure (HF) is a complex clinical syndrome characterized by frequent and rapid decompensation; even long-term, stable patients with HF might rapidly deteriorate in days or hours [1]. HF decompensation is a major cause of hospitalization in patients with HF, negatively influencing prognosis [1], representing the highest share of health care costs for this disease [2].

Assessing the Effectiveness of Interactive Robot-Assisted Virtual Health Coaching for Health Literacy and Disease Knowledge of Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease: Quasiexperimental Study

Previous studies have shown that health coaching can lead to positive behavioral changes and improved health outcomes in patients with chronic conditions, underscoring its value in managing long-term health [11,12]. Previous studies have demonstrated the significant impact of health promotion and education programs on patients with CKD [13].
