Effect of Digital Exercise Therapy on the Pain and Physical Function of Patients With Osteoarthritis: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Effect of Digital Exercise Therapy on the Pain and Physical Function of Patients With Osteoarthritis: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Our findings align with a previous review of digital therapeutic tools for exercise programs in knee OA [38], which reported significant pain improvements in 10 of 11 studies but did not address long-term outcomes. This underscores the potential of digital modalities for short-term symptom management while highlighting the need for strategies to prolong therapeutic effects. The loss of effect at follow-up is an important finding that warrants further exploration.

Effect of Smartphone-Based Messaging on Interns and Nurses at an Academic Medical Center: Observational Study

Effect of Smartphone-Based Messaging on Interns and Nurses at an Academic Medical Center: Observational Study

Future studies should involve implementing and evaluating the long-term effectiveness of such interventions across diverse hospital settings with different communication avenues (secure messaging, vs paging, etc), exploring how they influence provider well-being and workflow efficiency.

Effectiveness of Mobile Apps in Improving Medication Adherence Among Chronic Kidney Disease Patients: Systematic Review

Effectiveness of Mobile Apps in Improving Medication Adherence Among Chronic Kidney Disease Patients: Systematic Review

Managing CKD involves long-term care, with medication adherence being a pivotal aspect [2]. Unfortunately, patients with CKD often struggle with medication adherence, leading to adverse health outcomes and increased health care costs [3-5]. Several factors contribute to nonadherence, such as complex medication regimens, forgetfulness, lack of understanding about the importance of adherence, and limited patient-provider communication [6].

Safety and Efficacy of Modular Digital Psychotherapy for Social Anxiety: Randomized Controlled Trial

Safety and Efficacy of Modular Digital Psychotherapy for Social Anxiety: Randomized Controlled Trial

In the long term, SAD can lead to profound social isolation; missed opportunities; and comorbid conditions such as depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and substance abuse [1,3,4]. While symptoms do not typically improve in the absence of treatment [5,6], cognitive behavioral therapy for social anxiety (CBT-SA) has been established as an effective treatment with moderate to large effects on social anxiety symptoms [7-9].

Co-Designing a Web-Based and Tablet App to Evaluate Clinical Outcomes of Early Psychosis Service Users in a Learning Health Care Network: User-Centered Design Workshop and Pilot Study

Co-Designing a Web-Based and Tablet App to Evaluate Clinical Outcomes of Early Psychosis Service Users in a Learning Health Care Network: User-Centered Design Workshop and Pilot Study

Programs were instructed to enroll all service users, regardless of how long they had been affiliated with the EPI program. Therefore, some individuals may have been enrolled in Beehive after their baseline window had closed, and their first time point during piloting may have been a 6-month time point or a 12-month time point. Service users and support persons could access and complete surveys in-person at the clinic on the tablet app or they could complete them remotely via “web link.”

Effectiveness of Virtual Reality–Complemented Pulmonary Rehabilitation on Lung Function, Exercise Capacity, Dyspnea, and Health Status in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Effectiveness of Virtual Reality–Complemented Pulmonary Rehabilitation on Lung Function, Exercise Capacity, Dyspnea, and Health Status in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Specifically, studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up periods are needed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and sustainability of VR-complemented PR. Developing standardized VR protocols that define exercise intensity, frequency, duration, and content would help reduce heterogeneity and improve the comparability of results across studies.

Development of a Predictive Dashboard With Prescriptive Decision Support for Falls Prevention in Residential Aged Care: User-Centered Design Approach

Development of a Predictive Dashboard With Prescriptive Decision Support for Falls Prevention in Residential Aged Care: User-Centered Design Approach

This layer enabled the dashboard to be sustainable in the long run amid the underlying system changes. The data model in the backend of the dashboard also plays a critical role in facilitating the above process. This is crucial as the measures were developed using the linkages between the tables. Adapting a star schema as much as possible within the dashboard backend has promoted several advantages within the study.

Stress and Hypertension Among African American Female Family Caregivers of Persons Living With Alzheimer Disease and Related Dementias: Protocol for a Pilot Internet-Based Randomized Controlled Trial

Stress and Hypertension Among African American Female Family Caregivers of Persons Living With Alzheimer Disease and Related Dementias: Protocol for a Pilot Internet-Based Randomized Controlled Trial

The Socio-Ecological Model has been extensively researched and is an effective way to structure multilevel interventions to aid in the long-term adoption and sustainability of programming [21]. MIM’s combination of dietary education and experiential mind or body practices aligns with the multilevel Socio-Ecological Model of change. MIM was first implemented in 2009 as a small, randomized controlled trial with 48 employees [22]. Guided by the question of “Is MIM effective?”
