Effect of a Telemedicine Model on Patients With Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction in a Resource-Limited Setting in Vietnam: Cohort Study

Effect of a Telemedicine Model on Patients With Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction in a Resource-Limited Setting in Vietnam: Cohort Study

HF has long been regarded as a global pandemic, with an estimated 64 million individuals worldwide with this condition, and this number continues to rise [3]. The economic burden of HF on global health care systems is substantial and continuously increasing due to the growing incidence of HF [3]. In the United States alone, the total cost of HF is projected to reach approximately US $70 billion by 2030 [4].

HIV Incidence and Associated Risk Factors Among Young Men Who Have Sex With Men in Tianjin, China: Retrospective Cohort Study

HIV Incidence and Associated Risk Factors Among Young Men Who Have Sex With Men in Tianjin, China: Retrospective Cohort Study

Our study is the first long-term cohort study to assess the incidence of HIV and its associated factors among YMSM in Tianjin. The HIV incidence identified in this study was similar to the incidence among MSM under 24 years old (2.63/100 PYs) in Shanghai, published in 2019 [17]. This study found that the incidence of HIV among YMSM in Tianjin showed a stable trend from 2017 to 2022 and was maintained at an elevated level.

YouTube User Traffic to Paired Epilepsy Education Videos in English and Spanish: Comparative Study

YouTube User Traffic to Paired Epilepsy Education Videos in English and Spanish: Comparative Study

Furthermore, the study did not explore the long-term effects of video viewership on health outcomes or behavior change. Lastly, we did not consider the influence of external factors, such as marketing or promotion efforts, on video viewership. We demonstrated the effectiveness of paired educational videos in reaching a global audience well beyond the intended focus of the in-clinic recommendations. Techniques such as tags improve the discoverability and viewership of clinical videos on You Tube.

Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Preventing Postpartum Depressive Symptoms Among Pregnant Individuals With Depression: Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial in China

Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Preventing Postpartum Depressive Symptoms Among Pregnant Individuals With Depression: Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial in China

Postpartum depression (PPD), which includes major and minor depressive episodes occurring within 1 year postpartum, is a common maternal complication following childbirth, with clear evidence demonstrating both short- and long-term negative effects on mothers, children, family members, and society [1-3]. It affects approximately 20% of pregnant individuals in low- and middle-income countries [4].

This is also congruent with the authentic learning environments principle which suggests that learning can happen equivalently in any environment as long as the design adheres to effective learning principles [32]. The Society also recommends training should be spaced, frequent, short, and skill-oriented sessions. Therefore, we built our prompt around asthma exacerbation management, a short lesson with evidence-based best practices to be done in 5 to 10 minutes with specific learning takeaways.

Estimation of Machine Learning–Based Models to Predict Dementia Risk in Patients With Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases: UK Biobank Study

Estimation of Machine Learning–Based Models to Predict Dementia Risk in Patients With Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases: UK Biobank Study

Nevertheless, the long-term risk of dementia progression (5 or 10 years) in patients with ASCVD remains uncertain. In this study, we used comprehensive phenotypic and follow-up data from a cohort of over 500,000 UK Biobank participants to develop an ML-based model capable of predicting the 5- or 10-year risk of incident dementia in specific patients with ASCVD.
