Maternal Metabolic Health and Mother and Baby Health Outcomes (MAMBO): Protocol of a Prospective Observational Study

Maternal Metabolic Health and Mother and Baby Health Outcomes (MAMBO): Protocol of a Prospective Observational Study

Blood pressure will be measured after 5 minutes of rest in a seated position using an appropriately sized cuff on the bared left upper arm supported at heart level. Auscultatory readings with an aneroid sphygmomanometer and stethoscope or automated oscillometric readings with a single read per activation device will be collected by trained operators. Weight will be measured by a trained technician on calibrated digital scales with an accuracy of ±0.01 kg.

Decentralized Biobanking Apps for Patient Tracking of Biospecimen Research: Real-World Usability and Feasibility Study

Decentralized Biobanking Apps for Patient Tracking of Biospecimen Research: Real-World Usability and Feasibility Study

The system design represents all people, protocols, and assets in an NFT digital twin framework, creating a blockchain-backed overlay network on top of the established biospecimen ecosystem.

Environmental Impact of Physical Visits and Telemedicine in Nursing Care at Home: Comparative Life Cycle Assessment

Environmental Impact of Physical Visits and Telemedicine in Nursing Care at Home: Comparative Life Cycle Assessment

Each organization predominantly served an older population with diverse health problems. Most patients received two “visits” per day, of which one required a physical presence (eg, wound dressing) and the other could be delivered via telemedicine, such as supporting patients in taking their medication or in structuring their daily agenda.

Comparison of Smart Display Versus Laptop Platforms for an eHealth Intervention to Improve Functional Health for Older Adults With Multiple Chronic Conditions: Protocol for a Randomized Clinical Trial

Comparison of Smart Display Versus Laptop Platforms for an eHealth Intervention to Improve Functional Health for Older Adults With Multiple Chronic Conditions: Protocol for a Randomized Clinical Trial

Although voice-activated systems seem to offer an easy, engaging way to use an intervention, it is an open question whether older adults coping with multiple chronic conditions would show more sustained use of a voice-activated platform and whether this would lead to improved health outcomes. To test this hypothesis, we propose a trial comparing the text and typing-based version of Elder Tree delivered on a laptop to a voice-based version delivered on a smart display.

Innovating Care for Postmenopausal Women Using a Digital Approach for Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions: Prospective Longitudinal Cohort Study

Innovating Care for Postmenopausal Women Using a Digital Approach for Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions: Prospective Longitudinal Cohort Study

The intervention had an average duration of 10 weeks and consisted of biofeedback-mediated PFMT, functional exercises, and education (Table S2 in Multimedia Appendix 1), as previously described [41]. Briefly, after enrollment, participants completed an onboarding form with demographic and clinical information and selected a PT specializing in pelvic health who oversaw and continuously tailored the treatment.

Identifying Patient-Reported Outcome Measure Documentation in Veterans Health Administration Chiropractic Clinic Notes: Natural Language Processing Analysis

Identifying Patient-Reported Outcome Measure Documentation in Veterans Health Administration Chiropractic Clinic Notes: Natural Language Processing Analysis

These categories were identified to stratify visits on having a higher likelihood of potential use of PROMs at the beginning or end of an episode of chiropractic care or before or after a gap in chiropractic care. A nationally representative, random stratified sample of 300 notes was selected for human annotation to be used as an initial training set.

Design and Baseline Evaluation of Social Media Vaping Prevention Trial: Randomized Controlled Trial Study

Design and Baseline Evaluation of Social Media Vaping Prevention Trial: Randomized Controlled Trial Study

However, there are relatively few large, well-controlled studies on social media as an intervention channel in nicotine and tobacco control, which highlights the need for more research on the relationship between digital media and behavior change, social norms, and social networks [17]. Although research is being conducted to determine what digital media as an intervention tool would look like, how it works, and how effective it is [17], these studies have only scratched the surface [18].

Accelerometry-Assessed Physical Activity and Circadian Rhythm to Detect Clinical Disability Status in Multiple Sclerosis: Cross-Sectional Study

Accelerometry-Assessed Physical Activity and Circadian Rhythm to Detect Clinical Disability Status in Multiple Sclerosis: Cross-Sectional Study

Triaxial accelerometry is a safe and relatively inexpensive tool that may offer an objective and sensitive measure of disability in people with MS. With the use of an accelerometer worn on the wrist, real-time information about physical activity and circadian rhythmicity patterns can be collected in a person’s natural environment. Such data may allow detection of variation in activity that may be missed during clinical visits [6,7].

Acceptability of a Web-Based Health App (PortfolioDiet.app) to Translate a Nutrition Therapy for Cardiovascular Disease in High-Risk Adults: Mixed Methods Randomized Ancillary Pilot Study

Acceptability of a Web-Based Health App (PortfolioDiet.app) to Translate a Nutrition Therapy for Cardiovascular Disease in High-Risk Adults: Mixed Methods Randomized Ancillary Pilot Study

Several recent Canadian population-based studies have shown that many patients at high CVD risk continue to have low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels well above the guideline targets [2,3]. LDL-C has been extensively studied and described as a causal factor for CVD [4]. LDL-C levels above the target can result from multiple factors such as insufficient LDL-C lowering with statins, statin-related side effects, suboptimal medication adherence, and treatment inertia [5].
