Survey of Hand Hygiene, High-Touch Device Use, and Proper Habits of Health Care Workers for Infection Risk Prevention: Protocol for a Cross-Sectional Study

For the determination of both HTBC at 37 °C and 22 °C, the bulk seeding technique is used with 500 µl per sample on plates of a tryptone soy agar medium, which are then placed in a thermostat at 37 °C and 22 °C for 48 hours and 72 hours, respectively.

Telehealth Initiative to Enhance Primary Care Access in Brazil (UBS+Digital Project): Multicenter Prospective Study

Telehealth Initiative to Enhance Primary Care Access in Brazil (UBS+Digital Project): Multicenter Prospective Study

In this regard, the primary health unit (PHU; Portuguese: Unidade Básica de Saúde [UBS]) is a fundamental structure within the Brazilian health care system, designed to provide PHC and accessible, high-quality health services to the population. The Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF; English: Family Health Strategy) team is a central component of this structure, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, treatment, and management through a community-based approach.

Evaluating Nurses’ Perceptions of Documentation in the Electronic Health Record: Multimethod Analysis

Evaluating Nurses’ Perceptions of Documentation in the Electronic Health Record: Multimethod Analysis

Flowsheets are structured tools in the EHR system; they are used to record discrete data over time and are designed in a tabular format. Resembling a spreadsheet, each column represents a date and time, while each row is designed to capture selectable options or free-text values. Nurses capture assessments and observations in flowsheets and, on average, document 631 to 875 flowsheet data entries within a 12-hour shift, equating to approximately 1 data entry per minute [6,7].

The Motivations of Citizens to Attend an eHealth Course in the Public Library: Qualitative Interview Study

The Motivations of Citizens to Attend an eHealth Course in the Public Library: Qualitative Interview Study

I think it’s a shame that there’s no choice anymore. There’s obviously a generation of us that needs to have a transition that’s a little bit smooth, and not like: bam, next year everything’s just different. I think a lot of people my age have problems with that. For most, this digital experience was work-related where they were trained in specific, mostly simple computer programs useful for their jobs.

Vital Sign and Biochemical Data Collection Using Non-contact Photoplethysmography and the Comestai Mobile Health App: Protocol for an Observational Study

Vital Sign and Biochemical Data Collection Using Non-contact Photoplethysmography and the Comestai Mobile Health App: Protocol for an Observational Study

Photoplethysmography is a practical method for noncontact vital sign measurement using a red-green-blue (RGB) camera that has been recently introduced [6,9]. Photoplethysmography uses a transducer that emits infrared light from an LED into the dermis. The adjacent photodetector measures the backscattered light, which is then represented as a line tracing. The intensity of the backscattered light changes with the volume of red blood cells in the dermal capillaries [9].

Sustainability and Time Trends in Electronic Patient-Reported Outcome Assessment in Routine Cancer Care: Systematic Scoping Review and Follow-Up Survey

However, since the review by Warrington et al in 2019 (which included studies published until 2017) [21], no recent comprehensive reviews have captured this trend across the field of oncology as a whole—a considerable time span for a fast-changing field.

Moderators’ Experiences of the Safety and Effectiveness of Patient Engagement in an Asthma Online Health Community: Exploratory Qualitative Interview Study

If a post did not warrant deletion, for example, posts containing dubious (but not dangerous) advice or recommendations, the moderators reported that they would edit a post to add a warning and signposts to appropriate resources: I made the decision to leave the post up and edit it with a warning...I tend to do that if it’s been up for a few days and there’s been a lot of replies and quite often the replies are sensible, saying what I would have said in my warning...If it’s really bad I’ll just delete it, take

Applying Patient and Health Professional Preferences in Co-Designing a Digital Brief Intervention to Reduce the Risk of Prescription Opioid–Related Harm Among Patients With Chronic Noncancer Pain: Qualitative Analysis

Applying Patient and Health Professional Preferences in Co-Designing a Digital Brief Intervention to Reduce the Risk of Prescription Opioid–Related Harm Among Patients With Chronic Noncancer Pain: Qualitative Analysis

Patient characteristics (n=18; 55% women; mean age 49.5, SD 6.91 y) are presented in a previous study [8]. We provide an overview in Table 1; for a detailed summary of each individual, please refer to a previous report [8]. In the sample of patients interviewed, half (9/18, 50%) met the threshold for current unsafe opioid misuse on a validated psychometric scale (COMM [35]).
