High-Frequency Cognitive Control Training for Depression: Case Report
Similarly, Hoorelbeke and Koster [18] found a significant decrease in the self-reported use of maladaptive strategies following CCT when compared with an active control condition in a sample with RMD.
Aside from these beneficial effects on maladaptive emotion regulation, multiple studies have reported positive effects of CCT on adaptive emotion regulation strategies.

Health Economic Evaluation of Cognitive Control Training for Depression: Key Considerations
Among the multiple CCT tasks used within the context of depression, the effects of the adaptive paced auditory serial addition task (a PASAT [8]; for a review, please see the paper by Koster et al [7]) have been the most intensively studied. During this computer task, participants are presented with digits in a sequential fashion. They are asked to provide the sum of the 2 last heard digits.

Quality of life was measured using the Quality of Life in Alzheimer Disease (QOL-AD) 13-item scale [62]. Responses to items range from poor, fair, and good to excellent, with a score ranging from 13 to 52. Higher scores indicate a higher quality of life. Good internal consistency for the QOL-AD scale has been reported (α=.82) [63].
