Daniela is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of PREreview, an organization with the mission to bring more equity and transparency to the evaluation of research content, giving systematically excluded researchers better ways to find, train, and contribute to peer review. Daniela holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University during which she studied mechanisms of auditory processing in mammals, and she is a former Mozilla Fellow for Open Science 2018/2019.
Amy Schwartz, MSc, PhD, JMIR Publications
Amy Schwartz is a Scientific Editor at JMIR Publications and the acting Editor-in-Chief of JMIRx Bio, an overlay journal offering authors that upload preprints on the bioRxiv server the opportunity for thorough expert peer review and publication with a transparent version of record. Amy received her PhD in Biology from McGill University (Montreal, Canada), and has worked as a scientific editor/writer in various fields of the life and medical sciences with a continued mission for contributing to open scientific communication.

Vasco Medeiros, RSci, AMRSB, has experience in oncology and neuropathology labs and currently works as a medical writer. His interdisciplinary background spans wet lab chemistry, biology, and computational processes. As an associate member of the Royal Society of Biology and the Tissue and Cell Engineering Society, and a registered scientist (RSci) under the Science Council, he aims to advance medical research through both laboratory work and written contributions.

Toba Isaac Olatoye is a dedicated tutor and biochemist, with a background in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Prof. Randa Salah Gomaa Mahmoud earned her medical degree from Zagazig University in 1996, followed by a master’s in 2001 and a Ph.D. in Medical Physiology in 2006. A professor since July 2021, she reviews scientific production for medical faculty positions and is an active APS member. With around 850 reviews for 90 journals, she has received accolades, including recognition as an excellent reviewer on Web of Science.
