JMIR receives funding from Research Council

JMIR is proud to announce that it has received a grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council under their Aid to Open Access Journals grants program. JMIR is one of 11 journals supported under this new program. The adjudication committee consisting of scholars with expertise in open access publishing acknowledged the outstanding quality of JMIR: "The committee considered the journal to be of very high quality. It found the editorial board excellent and the peer review process sound. The committee commends the journal for becoming actively involved in the development and/or customization of open access tools.". JMIR is the leading open access journal in eHealth, and the number 2 ranked journal by impact factor in the ISI/SCI medical informatics category.
